Not getting hit by lightning in East Cobb
I'm not very good at keeping this updated, i'm sorry..
Ok, last time I wrote my parents and Jake the 'puppy' were down. Well, they left the morning that the 18U started, and drove straight home.. I mean, straight through 18 hours back to the northeast!! It was good to have them here, but the only nights I actually got sleep I didn't stay at my apartment. Jake stayed at Kevin's for 2 days, but wasn't too happy about being seperated from Dad.. he was so upset that he got sick in Kevin's apartment :(
The 4th was good, Kev and I went down to the apartment of a coworker of his, in Buckhead, to watch the fireworks. We had an amazing view!! He left for Moscow the next day and almost missed his flight.. we were on our way and there was this huge accident on 285 near the airport that shut down all lanes.. we were literally 3 exits away from the airport and one hour from his INTERNATIONAL flight taking off... not good. He calls me a maniac driver, but this maniac driver got him to the airport and on that plane, so he can't call me that anymore!! :)
In other news, we found a house to rent next month!! There will be 3 of us living in it until December, and then Holly is moving up from Mobile to make it 4. I can't wait, its going to be great to finally have people around again!! I hate living alone!
Baseball is going.. the 18U went fine and the day Andy flew in for the 17U it started raining and hasn't stopped much, yesterday was the only rain-less day we've had. Typically when the storms start i'm caught under a tent at the front gate trying to avoid sideways rain, wet strangers that get under the tent with us and make things worse, and crazy lightning. Ahh, fun. Seriously though, Georgia has been in a drought before July... it figures!!!
Thats all i've got for now.. have a great day!
