Motivation...

I'm finding it so difficult to get motivated to study for my final exam tomorrow night. I think if school had to go much longer, i'd be in trouble, because i've totally and completely lost the ability to focus, to study, to even look at my notes. Ugh, this is not good.

ING Marathon/Half Marathon

BRRR! Being outside for 6 hours in 45 degree temperatures (Not raining luckily!) wasn't fun!! My feet pretty much got numb right away :( Other than that it was alright.. I felt bad for the runners who finished the race wearing next to nothing, and then 5 minutes later were shaking uncontrollably. The runners I worked on, because of the tight spaces, i'd work on them but get into some strange body positions.. one foot on the ground, my knee bent up on the table.. well, in the frigid conditions of course my muscles were tight. Add a sprint to the car b/c i'm freezing, and I ended up pulling a muscle myself! And I didn't even run in the freaking race! My piriformis (look it up) hates me.
AND Michael somehow talked me into training for the Thanksgiving day half marathon... yea, we'll see how that one goes. Maybe after my freaking piriformis heals!

Things I love.. updated

I love the BOSTON RED SOX. I love to play volleyball, both indoor and beach. I love the smell of the salty air at home. I love chocolate chip ice cream and coffee ice cream. I love getting an unexpected email from a friend while i'm at work. I love the color green, like a spring grass green. I love my ipod (mini). I love flip flops. I love to fish. I love when people take time to let me know that i'm important to them. I love to cook. I love to travel. I love to fly. I love Texas. I love italian food & mexican food. I love to listen to Jack Johnson when i'm stuck in traffic - it calms me down. I love to sing and dance. I love Grey's Anatomy. I love to work out even though I don't act like it. I love the beach. I love puppies. I love Boston. I love to read. I love the sound of a wooden bat connecting with a baseball. I love the sound of rain against a window - it puts me to sleep. I love thunderstorms, but not when i'm alone. I love surprises. I love when a guy does something sweet for me.. its happened so rarely i'm not even sure what thats like anymore. I love being in a relationship more than being single. I love my dog Jake and the cats Ozzy & Peanuts. I love to drive. I love The Shield & 24. I love to snuggle. I love hockey.I love to be happy and carefree, driving with the windows open. I love linguica pizza. I love clam chowder from Mike's Restaurant on Rt 6 in Fairhaven ONLY. I love the look on someone else's face when you surprise them (in a good way). I love to stay busy - if i'm not doing something, I feel lost. I love to multitask. I love my crackberry. I love to surprise a guy and pay for dinner one night. I love this candle that I have from Ron Jon's.. it smells so good. I love the East Cobb baseball complex.. its like home to me, i've spent so much time there in the past 7 years. I love to send cards through regular mail. I love to bake.

School

I'm so beyond relieved that school is finally coming to a close! April 10th is our last day of class and graduation is April 21st, 7:30pm. Remember last July.. I accumulated a pile of makeup work b/c I was at the baseball field working instead of going to class? I just have one assignment left :) And tomorrow morning i'm re-certifying my CPR, so that knocks out another graduation requirement..
I'm going to miss my classmates though. They're a great bunch of people. It took us a little while to open up to each other, but we're officially too familiar with each other now! We've got some end of the year gatherings coming up.. guaranteed to be good times. I'm only afraid of the "Bonfire + Booze" party at Jeff's. That just doesn't seem to be a good combination.

Last weekend

Last weekend was honestly the best weekend i've had in a really long time. On Friday after work, I left for Daleville, AL. I got there in about 3.5 hours and maybe a half hour later, Chris and I left for PCB. It was gorgeous down there! Friday night we walked on the beach and hung out, and Saturday we left to go back to Daleville. It wasn't so much what we did, it was the company that made the weekend awesome. Some things have happened since then, but let me say this. Regardless of what has happened, I feel lucky to have met a person like him, and Gracie too!

24 days until graduation!!

Yea... that was a tornado

Whoever told me that tornadoes only hit trailer parks LIED! Of course I didn't believe that they only hit trailer parks.. but would you really expect one to hit downtown Atlanta? NOPE! So that hit Friday night. Saturday I got up to go work with Team Spirit and took care of about 9 runners in 3 hours. Not a bad day! I got home and fell asleep only to wake up to hail hitting the windows.. i've only known of hail as being associated with tornadoes, so that was kind of weird. And then yesterday was my LAST CLINIC EVER!

Snow

There have been the oddest weather situations lately... the other day it was sunny and 71. Yesterday warm, rain, and tornados. Today, cold and snowing. Of COURSE today is the day I start working with running groups and doing massage therapy...it was so cold this morning I couldn't feel my own hands though :( And.. its still flurrying. So now i'm home under the blankets trying to get feeling back in my feet, contemplating finishing up my makeup work for school. I probably should.. I hate having 'open time', when i'm constantly busy I feel better about things and not so much like I have no life.
Last night I went to the Thrashers game and it was great, i've never seen a shootout before! The Thrashers came away with the W, and even with my warped sense of direction we managed to get out and find 75. Luckily. It was shady for a little while.
Tomorrow is my second to last clinic, next Sunday is the very last one!
