Me vs Jake

How does one sleep with a 90 lb yellow lab on a 6 foot couch? Not well my friend.. not well. And he was back and forth ALL NIGHT. I would stretch out, he would come and nudge me with his nose to move my feet, he would jump onto the couch and move me even more.. lol. I slept in fetal position. Awesome. This happened 5 or 6 times. Now the "tired puppy" is sound asleep on his blanket - on the floor.

Operation "Test Your Liver"

This past weekend was literally the best weekend i've had in a really REALLY long time! We got in around 12 Friday night and were handed beer upon entering the house :) 4 hours, one game of "circle of death" later, and a phone call to Leslie to tell her what an amazing time she was missing....it was lights out. The guys had gotten this thing called a "Party Ball". It was like a keg, but better... it was spectacular. Saturday we all slept in pretty late and went to the beach later in the afternoon, and out to a bar that night. The bar we went to had outdoor sand volleyball courts, so I was down there trying to play with some guy who had only played twice in his entire life... my patience was worn thin fairly quickly. I was setting him the ball so he could practice hitting and he would absolutely refuse to go for the ball if it was outside of his designated hitting spot. What a freaking dbag. Since I was DD that night I kept it minimal, except for slamming a long island right before departing.. but once we got back to the house, operation "test your liver" was back on. Sunday was sort of low key, some IHOP in the morning and almost getting out on the boat... stupid thunderstorms killed that idea though. We just layed low the rest of the day, and left for ATL around 7 or so. I drove the main highways of the trip and about 2 hours out of ATL I started to get this nasty headache.. see, I need to have my glasses adjusted I think, so it was painful to keep them on but I have ZERO depth perception when they're off. So out of those options... it was best to keep them on.

Amazing weekend... can't wait for the next one :)

Lets go CELTICS!

Well on Friday afternoon, I had my second interview for the second sports massage therapist position. It went well, but I have to spend some time with my boss breaking bad habits, and learning new techniques... it seems that this group has the contract to provide massage therapy to some football team down here, the Falcons or something :P Saturday morning Leslie and I worked together, and it was busy! The location we were at, there was a kayak race and a fair, so we even had random people hopping on the tables and paying us. We called it "Beach Money"! And then last night, I had dinner with my friend Cory and after we watched Boondock Saints... classic movie :)
Tonight... the Celtics can win it all :)
So the rest of this month looks FANTASTIC! Thursday is my last day at work; on Friday, Kevin flies in from England and him, me and Leslie leave for the beach a few hours later! We come back Sunday night... maybe :)

AVP

Well, last time I wrote, AVP was coming up. Let me tell you, it was AMAZING!! I got to work on my 2 favorite athletes of all time, Phil Dalhausser & Misty May! I actually worked on Phil 3x, and Misty 2x :) But I also got to work on some of the other top volleyball players on the tour too, and it was just absolutely incredible. I was there all day Friday (except for a 4 hour airport diversion for Kevin!), Saturday & Sunday. Leslie joined us on Saturday too, she had a blast! Last week after AVP was alright.. finalized plans for a beach trip to FL mid June, my parents will be here the end of June, and i'll be with PG July 1-26.
I mailed in my massage therapy license application and have to wait until I actually receive my license before I can start working somewhere.. hopefully it doesn't take as long as advertised.. 15-20 business days is what they said.
