About those Red Sox....

Yes, I know how they're doing. I am in physical agony every time someone so much as mentions them.. at work, they LOVE to torture me.. I live in fear of a baseball discussion starting up, and it eventually does and all I can stammer out is "its not october yet". Last night I actually got the channel the game was on.. and although I couldn't bear to watch yet another loss.. the game was on.
Anyways.. things otherwise are ok. Went down to Buckhead last weekend with Jared, Jenell & Amanda.. just a crazy night. Fun pictures though, nothing incriminating!

A week later...

Well, a week later and it seems like every single thing has taken a turn in the complete and opposite direction. I'm not blistering red anymore, but more of an almost tan. Things elsewhere.. are just.. I didn't see this coming. I understand why things are the way they are.. but it sucks. I guess we'll just see how things go.. and hope they can go back to normal.. or whatever it was before. Nothing about it was normal.. it was REALLY long distance, frustrating at times, and so difficult knowing that someone you care about very much is in such a different state of mind that I can't even imagine what he's gone though and still has to go through. I can't do anything except give him the same love and support I gave him before, because he needs so much more than I do. I'm rambling.. I do that when I have so much running through my mind and don't know how to put it down in rational thoughts that actually make sense... I don't know. I don't know what else to say. Talking to people in the same situation helps.. but you can only talk so much. Sometimes you just need to drive down the highway at 90 mph and sing at the top of your lungs.

"My Little Lobster"

Things I predicted for this vacation: Either 1) Alcohol poisoning 2) Sun poisoning or 3) Food poisoning. Or all 3. Well, turns out... sun poisoning wins. I swear, I kept applying and reapplying sunscreen, but it appears that i'm immune to the stuff. Which led P to call me his "little lobster". As the week went on, it only got worse unfortunately. Chills, nausea... add alcohol to this, and you've got quite the cocktail.
Things i've learned this week: Just because there is clear liquid in a Dasani water bottle does not mean it is water; Fall asleep first; The 'shocker' will make an appearance in almost every photo - deal with it; people will stare horrifically at you when you are a fierce shade of red and ask "did you use sunscreen?" Well hey, yea.. why didn't I think of that?; 10 jaeger bombs are calculated to the bill as jaeger shots and red bull seperately, and charged seperately; sometimes horses don't respond to you pulling the reigns as "slow down please" and they go faster downhill; drinking while attempting high heels should be reserved for professionals; men have gas... a lot.. and try not to be in the corner at this time, b/c it will linger; in blackjack, the house always wins; I actually have a little rhythm.. but not much; I can actually drink more on a ship than I can on land. Gratuity is added to Every.Single.Drink; You know you're tab is going to be high when Larry the bartender knows you by name and doesn't need your sail & sign card anymore to run through;

Vacation!

Finally after waiting FOREVER, i'm on vacation for 2 whole weeks! Then work for 2 days, then weekend :) P is here and its so great to see him! We went for a ride on his motorcycle last night, which was my first time on a bike in a while.. I learned how to put gas in a motorcycle.. by the way, it won't click when its full like in a car. Lesson learned the hard way, oops. We all leave for Florida on Sunday, I can't wait!! Its going to be awesome. I'm hoping these next 2 weeks don't fly by.. we have a long way to go when he goes back over there. Oh well.. take one day at a time and enjoy it :)

Well.. apparently when you live this close to Atlanta, your car needs emission testing every year around your birthday... right about when its time to renew your tags. Funny thing is, when you move and forget to change your address on your license, all that information gets forwarded to you 2 days before its due. You also get a ticket in the mail.. cause those freaking cameras catch you 1 second after you go through a light THATS STILL YELLOW... 1 week after its due b/c of aforementioned forgotten address change. Oops.

New to this

Hello. Since i've stumbled across Rachael's blog, i've become a pretty faithful reader trying to keep up with what's going on over there in Austin, and I figured that maybe some people from the Northeast will want to be able to keep up with my adventures down here in the Dirty South. Maybe not. Either way i'm pretty new to this and will be appreciative of any advice thrown my way!! Thats it for now... lets hear some advice!
